    RENO, Nev. - Junior guard Taylor Richards and senior forward Brittany
Phillips continued their scoring streaks, but Utah State fell to Nevada,
61-49, Thursday in Western Athletic Conference women¹s basketball action at
Lawlor Events Center.  Richards netted a game-high 15 points, while Phillips
moved to No. 8 on the USU career scoring list as she posted 10 points to
give her 870 career points, passing Mary Danielson (1981-82).
    USU is now 11-16 overall and 7-8 in WAC action, staying in sixth-place
in the conference standings.  The Aggies lost for the third time in last
four outings after winning the previous three in a row. Nevada won its
fourth-straight in improving to 16-12 overall and 10-5 in WAC play,
maintaining third in the league race.
    Richards has now scored double-figures in 13 of the last 16 games, while
Phillips has posted double-digits in nine games in a row and 13 of the last
15 contests.
    Junior forward Jenny Gross and sophomore forward Lindsey Freeze shared
team-high honors with seven rebounds apiece, as USU was out-rebounded 41-37.
The Aggies are now 4-13 when being out-rebounded by the opposition.
    Nevada had three players in double-figures, led by Jessica Pressler¹s
double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Traci Graham, the reigning
WAC Player of the Week, and Dellena Criner netted 11 points apiece.
    The Wolf Pack led, 33-22, at the half, as USU is now a paltry 2-13 when
trailing at intermission.
    The Aggies wrap-up regular-season action Saturday at fifth-place Fresno
State (15-13, 8-7 WAC) at 2 p.m. (MT).  Fresno State lost at second-place
Boise State, 69-63, Thursday night.
